Media obsessions

(1) Hikaru no Go. I think I'm going to go out on a limb and call this the best anime series I've seen.

(2) Still having a lot of fun with the new season of Doctor Who. (Photo of Cybermen invading London in the 1960's)

(3) The Warner Bros. detectives, of course. (Photo of the Tiki God from Hawaiian Eye)

(4) How did I manage to get sucked back into mainstream superhero comics? It seems to have been a combination of Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men, which has everything you'd expect from a Joss Whedon product, Marvel's new Civil War saga, and the gorgeously space-operatic Planet Hulk—a perfect storm for the fanboy!
One may have noticed the lack of soap operas on the list. This is due to Full House and What's Wrong With Money? both having wrapped up, and both in rather dissatisfying fashion, I must say. Full House had a happy ending—which is unusual for a Korean soap opera—but it was poorly written and sloppy in the execution. In What's Wrong With Money, Ayame ends up with the wrong guy! Ridiculous! Do I have to write these things myself?
